Week 2 of Thursday Night Football schedule starts on September 17 as the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns go on the road to play. NFL Network will air the game starting from 8:20 PM ET. Additionally, a Sunday Night Football-branded game will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, Thursday. At 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens in that game.

Note :- On Friday, December 25 (Christmas Eve), rather than on Thursday, December 24, one game—Minnesota at New Orleans—will be played.

History of Thursday Night Football Schedule

The games are broadcast on radio by Westwood One, which syndicates them to its partner radio stations across the country. The NFL started sub-licensing the online streaming rights to the broadcast television component of the package to third parties in 2016, starting with Twitter, Prime Video, and Twitch. Amazon and the NFL then extended their agreement until 2022. Since then, Prime Video has extended its contract and will serve as the sole broadcaster for the seasons 2022 through 2033.

Looking on the bright side, the option to watch, record, or rewind the programme will be available to viewers. If a viewer selects a record, they will automatically have access to every game for the whole season. When customers log onto Amazon.com, live games will start playing immediately in order to entice viewers to the NFL broadcast, which costs Amazon annually $1 billion. In order to make the fact that the games are being played in real time more obvious to viewers, they will also be prominently shown on Prime Video’s home screen

The play-by-play broadcasters for Amazon’s football games will include iconic broadcaster Al Michaels, who left NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” and seasoned college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit. The original NFL Network lineup included Cris Collinsworth from NBC Sports as the colour commentator for the Thursday telecasts, Bryant Gumbel from HBO Sports as the play-by-play announcer, and Dick Vermeil as Collinsworth’s replacement for the Saturday telecasts.

But why won’t Fox be airing “Thursday Night Football Schedule” in 2022?

The short answer to this is that Fox chose not to renew its NFL rights agreement in the final year, thus “Thursday Night Football Schedule” won’t be on the network in 2022. From 2018 to 2022, Fox initially held the rights to the programmer. They were a part of a $3 billion deal that the network, the NFL, and the league reached, making Fox the sole broadcaster of Thursday Night Football Schedule . Fox, though, wasn’t getting enough value from the deal.

From 2022 through 2033, “Thursday Night Football Schedule” will air exclusively on Amazon. This season, it will air 15 NFL games in total, from Weeks 2 through 16, and all of the games will be stream able on Amazon Prime.
